Introduction:
Each year, we adjust the prices of some of our products and services in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rate of inflation, plus 3.9%.
When we work out our prices, we use the December CPI rate published in January. For December 2022, the CPI rate was 10.5%. This means that the majority of our customers will see a price increase of 14.4% (which is 10.5% plus 3.9%).
These price changes will take effect from 1 April 2023.
CPI, plus 3.9% applies to all Support customers including customers whose contract started before 1 September 2020, were in contract as of 31st March 2022, and who will be moved to new terms which include a CPI plus 3.9% increase from 1 April 2023.
As an authorised Microsoft Resellers and solution provider, Microsoft 365 and Azure services will only increase in line with Microsoft’s own published price changes.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI)
CPI is the most used and reliable measure to track inflation – it compares the cost of a selection of goods (food, clothes, travel etc.) from one year to the next. A new rate is published monthly by the Office for National Statistics, and we always use the December rate, published in January, for our price change.
There’s lots more info on CPI on the Office for National Statistics website, just visit: https://www.ons.gov.uk/
